═══ 1. OS/2 Remote Printer ═══ OS/2 Remote Printer Use RPRINTER to connect or disconnect a remote printer on a network. A remote printer can be connected to any workstation. The workstation must then be attached to the same LAN or interLAN as the print server servicing the remote printer. The OS/2 RPRINTER runs as an application in a single OS/2 session. It is not a terminate-and-stay-resident (TSR) program like the DOS version. The OS/2 RPRINTER does not actually direct print jobs to physical ports on the OS/2 computer. Instead, it directs jobs to OS/2, which then directs jobs to the physical port. Therefore, OS/2 printing must be properly set up in order for RPRINTER to work. ═══ 1.1.
